Hiya!

I'm Katherine Pittman, and I began my career in massage therapy as a patient. After a particularly difficult day, a friend suggested a “spa day.” By the middle of my first massage, I was asking the therapist about her career and what it took to get into the field. Within two weeks I had enrolled in massage school. Two weeks after that, I broke my arm. When my orthopedic surgeon asked what my “Plan B” was, I told him I didn’t have one. My determination to follow my calling and dedicate myself to my own healing was evident, and a year later I earned my massage license.

That determination still defines my work today. I don't just practice massage — I live it. Along with bodywork, I integrate the healing practices of meditation, sound bowl therapy, yoga, and cold plunges. These rituals keep me grounded, resilient, and connected.  The authenticity in recommending them to my clients comes from the experience in knowing that they work!

I specialize in barefoot Ashiatsu and Sarga myofascial therapy, approaches that reach deep without the pain of traditional techniques. My sessions create space for both physical relief and emotional release. I facilitate my clients ability to slow down, listen, and reconnect. Wellness isn’t about a quick fix. It’s about creating a life you don’t need a break from — one built on balance, presence, and remembering who you are beneath the tension.

Katherine who...?

Katherine grew up in the laid-back rhythms of North Carolina and spent her early adulthood along the beaches of Naples, Florida — two places that shaped the way she sees healing: nature, movement, and stillness working together to bring us back to balance.

Life eventually brought Katherine back to the Carolina coast, not just for the ocean, but for family. After losing her father to leukemia, she felt a deep pull to be closer to her roots. Living near her mother has been one of the most rewarding and healing parts of this journey, a daily reminder of the strength that comes from connection and the support of loved ones.

At home, Katherine and her son foster kittens through Coral Kittens, a local rescue. Caring for these tiny, vulnerable lives is one of the most rewarding experiences they share — a practice of patience, compassion, and nurturing that mirrors the care she brings into her bodywork.

Katherine's own healing has been shaped not only by family and community, but by challenge. After a recent knee injury, she leaned on massage therapy, strength training, and stretching to rebuild and return to the activities she loves. This recovery has deepened her empathy and sharpened her commitment to helping others move through pain, rebuild resilience, and trust their bodies again.

For years, Katherine was told deep tissue was the only answer for tension and pain. Chiropractors prescribed it, and she left those sessions sore and disconnected — more beaten up than healed. That frustration sent her searching for a better way. When she found barefoot Ashiatsu and Sarga myofascial therapy, everything shifted. Ashiatsu allows Katherine to give deep, grounding work without the pain of elbows and knuckles. Sarga goes even further, unwinding fascia in a way that supports not just physical release, but emotional healing too.

Massage is not just something she gives — it’s something Katherine lives. She receives bodywork regularly because it keeps her grounded and resilient, able to move through life with strength, clarity, and presence. It allows her to keep doing the things she loves: yoga, paddleboarding, diving into sound baths, and leaning into the shock of a cold plunge that resets my nervous system. These practices aren’t separate from her work — they’re the threads that weave into every session.

When you’re on Katherine's table, she's not just treating muscles; she is holding space for you to slow down when your body says ‘listen.’ This work isn’t about quick fixes or temporary resets. It’s about remembering — the ease, balance, and vitality already within you.

Whether you’re carrying stress, chasing recovery, or simply needing a pause from the noise of everyday life, Katherine brings both science and soul into the room. Her bodywork is deep without being punishing, restorative without being passive — and always rooted in helping you reconnect with yourself.
